Dr. Dawn Zywiec

Dawn Zywiec has been a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the Bloomington/Normal community since 1999.  She started her own practice in 2015. Her specialty areas are trauma recovery, sexual and physical abuse, co-dependency, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Prior to counseling, Dawn was a Registered Nurse.  She worked in various health care settings throughout the states of Indiana and Illinois since 1983.

Dr. Dawn Zywiec received her Associate Degree from Purdue University (1983), a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Northwestern University (1986) a Master of Arts in Counseling degree from Lincoln Christian Seminary (1999), and a Doctor of Philosophy in Health Education from Southern Illinois University (2012).

Dawn Zywiec is a volunteer counselor at Catalyst Ministries in Bloomington, Illinois. Catalyst works to rescue and provide a safe haven for women who have been abused, exploited, and enslaved.
