Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica and Surrounding Areas (Fall 2025)

The strongest hurricane on record in the Atlantic Ocean hovered over Jamaica as a Category 5 in late October 2025. It affected other countries such as Haiti and Cuba as well. IDES is working with church partners in Jamaica to provide emergency relief such as food, water, and tarps. We are actively working to continue to provide more relief in the coming weeks and months. Please pray for these people who have lost so much. Recovery is a long road and these Jamaicans have a long one ahead. Please join us financially to help the recovery go smoothly. 100% of your gift goes to relief on the gound.

Hurricane Helene & Milton

Hurricane Milton struck Florida on the evening of October 9, 2024. Just 2 weeks after Hurricane Helene hit the state, they face more clean up and rebuilding. These back-to-back hurricanes were devastating in several states. Our US Disaster Response team, churches, and volunteers have been on the ground since September. IDES is responding to Helene and Milton in Florida, Tennessee, and North Carolina with multiple churches. Primary relief efforts include clearing trees and damage, tarping roofs, and boarding up homes as well as cut-outs and muck-outs. We are now in phase two which will be repairing and restoring homes and building homes from the ground up. We anticipate that we will be working in the states of Appalachia for several months. It is an ongoing partnership in Thailand as IDES strives to help those in need both physically and spiritually.
