Hurricane Ida Update: September 7, 2021
We have established our relief headquarters and are working hard! IDES has distributed supplies including tarps and more than 100 cases of water. Our volunteers have already helped multiple families with tree clean-up and patching their roofs. IDES first round of volunteer groups are working and blessing people! There are a lot of families who need help so sign up today!

IDES will be taking volunteers for Hurricane Ida clean-up, and we need you! Volunteers will be assisting our disaster coordinators with clean-up, debris and tree removal, tarping roofs, and mucking out houses.

Hurricane Ida (August 29, 2021)
Hurricane Ida made landfall just before noon on Sunday, August 29th. Ida made landfall as a category 4 hurricane with winds of 145mph. The hurricane lead to widespread power outages leaving all of New Orleans dark.
IDES disaster coordinators have been in contact with many of our partnering churches and were in route before Ida made landfall. They will begin establishing relief headquarters and assessing the damage. If you or your church are interested in volunteering email volunteer@ides.org
