So much has happened in less than a year since the invasion of Ukraine. Your generous support of IDES relief efforts in Ukraine has made it possible to help close to 100,000 people!

We have sent 11 shipping containers to Ukraine, 6 containers full of GAP meals and 5 full of basic supplies such as medical and personal care items, blankets, and cold weather clothing, as well as military-grade tents for food distribution in the cold winter months. We have been able to provide more than 1.2 million pounds of food to those in need.

The outpouring of love we have seen through your faithful donations and volunteer efforts has been beyond what we could ever imagine. Thank you for sharing the love of Christ with people in need during some of the darkest moments of their lives. However, recent violence continues to increase the need for relief, please continue to pray for the people of Ukraine and consider donating to IDES future relief efforts.

GAP Meals for Ukrainian Refugees (April 1, 2022)

The first two containers with 518,400 GAP meals are on their way to refugee camps run by IDES Partners. Another half a million meals are being prepared for transit and will follow soon!

Our partners have been housing, feeding, and providing basic necessities to refugees since the start of the war. These meals will be distributed among the refugees in their camp. They are also planning to take meals into Ukraine to help the internally displaced still in the country if they are able.

The 150,000 pounds of GAP meals were packed by IDES amazing volunteers from 20 different churches across 8 different states. We could not provide relief work this large without the work of our volunteers. We thank each and every one of them for the time and effort they gave to pack these meals and pray for the lives that will be impacted.

Another half a million meals will be sent out after the current shipment. We are so blessed to be able to provide for the people of Ukraine in this way. If you would like to be a part of IDES Ukraine relief efforts, please click the link below.

IDES Ukraine Update (March 24, 2022)

IDES has been working nonstop coordinating relief efforts with our many partners in and around Ukraine. We are currently working with 10 partners in 11 different countries to provide aid to those remaining in Ukraine and the refugees who have fled the violence. We have sent hundreds of thousands of dollars to our partners assisting with the relief efforts for the people of Ukraine.

IDES partners located in Ukraine are focusing heavily on evacuating people and transporting resources to the cities that are being attacked. They are also sharing the love of Christ with those they evacuate and when delivering supplies. We praise God for their bravery and willingness to serve him no matter the circumstances.

IDES partners in the surrounding countries are working to transport refugees from the border and working to find them housing. Through their partnership with IDES, they are able to provide food, clothing, and basic necessities to these refugees as well. Our partners have been working day and night to help those in need and it is only through your faithful donations we are able to provide the funding to make these efforts possible.

Esther’s Story

"Esther’s mother had to leave their home with her three sisters and head to Poland, leaving her father behind to fight for his country. Esther was all alone."

Several sources report more than 800,000 Ukrainians, mainly women, and children, will be fleeing to neighboring countries. IDES is working with multiple partners providing Help & Hope to these Ukrainian refugees. Our partners in Poland, Moldova, and Romania are providing shelter to over 1,000 refugees in Christian Camps and church buildings. We are also providing food, water, and supplies for the refugee camps in these countries.

IDES is committing hundreds of thousands of dollars in aid, and we need your help to continue this work. Your donations will help our partners continue to provide food, water, supplies, shelter, clothes, bedding and so much more to the women and children being cared for physically and witnessed to spiritually.

Less than 12 hours before Russia began its invasion, I was on a Zoom call with one of our Ukraine partners to review evacuation plans and community needs. It was just one of many contacts IDES had with its Ukrainian partners throughout the week discussing plans if Russia were to invade. Now, those plans have gone into effect.

Some partners are currently evacuating while others have chosen to stay and serve those who will need help in the days ahead. Before the attacks began, IDES had already begun the process of providing funding for immediate food and evacuation needs. Essential food and supply needs are only going to increase over the coming weeks and months.

IDES is fortunate to have multiple partners in surrounding countries who are already receiving refugees and beginning to care for them in the name of Jesus. We will be in constant contact with them as the situation unfolds, to address further refugee needs.

People like you have made it possible for IDES to respond to disasters like this for almost 50 years. We cannot do this work without you and that is why we hope you will once again join us in making both a prayerful and a financial response for Ukraine.

Prayer Requests Include:

  • The safety of the Ukrainians who remain in their homes

  • The refugees who will travel to other countries

  • The witness of faithful believers to remain strong

We are not sure what the future holds for Ukraine, but with your prayers and support our partners will be able to provide not only for the physical needs that will arise, but also for spiritual needs in the weeks and months to come.

 Your financial gifts will provide:

  • Food and basic supplies for Ukrainians who choose to stay

  • Aid for Ukrainian Refugees

  • Assistance for Ukrainian evacuees

Please consider partnering with us through prayer and a financial gift as we meet urgent needs for the people of Ukraine.

For God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you demonstrated for his name by serving the saints—and by continuing to serve them.

“We are living in a world that is constantly changing, and not always in a good direction"

This is what one of our Ukraine Partners near the front lines told us in a Zoom mtg just a few hours before Russia began their invasion. It is so true and we pray for the people of Ukraine.

We at IDES ask you to pray for the country of Ukraine as Russia begins its invasion. We have been in regular contact with multiple IDES partners serving in Ukraine (some who are very close to the immediate warzone) to discuss their needs for aid and evacuation.

IDES is currently helping ensure there are supplies and food for those choosing to stay and help their communities throughout the coming weeks. We have also walked through evacuation plans and provided the necessary funding for some needing evacuation to secure areas.

IDES will continue to monitor the situation in Ukraine and provide updates with our continued aid. Please pray for our partners and the people in Ukraine.

If you would like to join us in providing Help & Hope in this terrible situation, please know that 100% of your gift marked 'Ukraine' will go directly to help meet this need in Ukraine.
