IDES shed building program

THE LOGISTICS

This event takes place at our headquarters in Noblesville, IN. Once the components for 10 complete sheds have been assembled, they are shipped to local church partners within a disaster-zone anywhere in the U.S. to be assembled on the property of families and individuals whose homes have been damaged. At this time, only specialized IDES DART teams travel to disaster sites to assemble the shed components volunteers have built.

What you’ll need:

  • 5-30 able-bodied volunteers ages 12+

  • Closed toe shoes

  • Funds for your shed build (see left)

ABOUT SHED BUILDING

IDES sheds are for families to have a safe place to store salvaged belongings after a disaster occurs. This program is a tool for the local church to reach out into its own community during a time of need in the name of Jesus Christ.

COST OF shed building

The cost of a shed building activity is $50 per volunteer for a half-day event (4 hours) or $100 per volunteer for a full day event (8 hours).

SIGN UP FOR A SHED BUILD

NOTE:  Since there is no way to predict disasters, the level of need for sheds to be built varies throughout the year. In other words, there are some occasions when your group may be asked to serve in a different way depending on IDES' greatest need.
